Ultimately, Pharmacology is the study of drugs and their origins. However, over the years, Pharmacology has changed immensely. Now, Pharmacology can help an array of people with a variety of problems.

Also, drugs and medicines that used to be taken orally, can now be taken by injection, rectally, inhalation or placed on the skin topically. Swallowing pills used to be a very difficult thing, but now with all these other options it has become much easier. On top of that, researchers and doctors are finding that certain drugs, taken a certain way are stronger or work better, faster. Absorption of the medicines obviously depends on the patient taking it, but for the most part these drugs are said to now help people more than they used to.

Patients can also take less of a medicine, which is always a good thing! Even problems like frozen shoulders or back pain can now be fixed with the ease of injections or topical applications through Pharmacology.
